Nike is truly fusing up some classic models in order to cope up with the globalization. Although vintage-looking sneakers are a good point for collection, it is quite different with the Cortez Classic that remains humble despite the innovations it earns.
Just lately, Nike is undeniably working out on a certain Cortez Classic with a goal to dress it up with leather, a thing that the shoe has been deprived of for a while. This time, leather rules with the new Nike Cortez Classic OG that comes in a sleek and seamless navy upper with a flattering white leather Swoosh and heel pull tab. The classy zigzag-cut overlay is what gives the shoe a cool accent whereas the off-white/orange striped sole is another attribute that showcases a zigzag outsole.
This casual pack is mostly appreciated with its authentic built as well as its excellent cushioning system. If you are into this Cortez Classic visit any Nike retailer and cop this pair for $70.

We all have been familiar with the classic Cortez running which took appearances on several films such as Tom Hank’s Forrest Gump and even on Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight Saga as Bella’s official footwear. Making its comeback to the sneaker industry’s big screen, the Nike Cortez Classic OG Leather – Forrest Gump now shows up in white, red, and blue combo.
Basically, the upper is done up in white pebbled leather with detailing that comes from the zigzag cut overlays seen at the center of the toe box and lace area. The Swoosh flaunts in red pebbled leather and the tongue displays the Nike old school branding. A Herringbone rubber outsole completes the revolution.
Debuted in 1972, this Cortez Classic remains to be the ultimate Bowerman-designed icon that is known for its lightweight attribute, perfect cushioning, and flexibility. Being fused by the full-length, dual-density foam midsole for comfort and shock absorption this silhouette maintains a high standard in the running category.
Nike set this Cortez Classic for Spring 2012 but stocks are now available at Limited Edt.

Normally, average sneakerheads are not interested in the hybrid, but that being said it is always good to at least give something new a chance once in a while. While most people don’t like the hybrids because they feel that their favorite sneakers are being ruined sometimes you can get something good as a result. When you take two sneakers and mash them together, you often end up with something that is the best of both worlds. Today we are going to looking at a shoe that is attempting that, this is the new Nike Cortez x Air Max Sample.
This one takes the classic nylon upper from the Nike Cortez and sticks it on top of a pre-yellowed Air Max 1 sole. It may seem like a strange combination but it could work. Let’s wait and see if these ones actually ever get released.
