This year we have seen a couple companies celebrating their anniversaries but next year marks the 20th year anniversary of the Nike Air Pegasus 91. In order to celebrate Nike has decided to re-release the sneaker in one of its classic colorways. These can be seen with a white, grey, blue and orange colorway and is definitely a classic. We all know that the infrared colorway is very famous amongst sneaker heads and we have seen them on multiple sneaker models. Today we get a chance to look at yet another sneaker in that colorway. In the past couple of weeks we’ve been seeing a lot of different colorways of the Nike Air Pegasus 89, due to it’s 20th Anniversary. Today we get a look at yet another pair of the Pegasus 89, this time it’s inspired by the Berlin Wall. The wall was to separate East Germany from West German and was built back in year 1961 and then was torn down in 1989, which makes this year it’s 20th Anniversary as well. We really love how Nike had meshed the sneaker and Berlin Wall together, not lacking any detail.
Nike had used many materials on the sneaker ranging from mesh to suede leather and leather. Accented with a black upper, along with grey and purple accents found throughout the sneaker. Many details have been added on the Pegasus 89, such as the concerete Nike swoosh which represents the broken wall. Finally Nike has finished off the kicks by adding the Berlin89 writing on the heel patch, the tongue, and lace lock. Look for these to drop on December 4th, 2009 for a retail price of 0. The Berlin Wall marks big on German history and this is being adopted by Nike on the Air Pegasus ‘89 which possesses a Grey/Black-splattered White Swoosh symbolizing the downfall of the wall. This classic icon has been rebuilt to celebrate 20 years of Germany youth culture.The sneaker features a mixture of Grey, Black, and Purple with the branding BERLIN 89 on the heel.

The Nike Air Pegasus 89 got its latest colorway in White/Grey/Pink. The upper is done up with White mesh mid-panels, Grey panel near the collar, vivid Pink quarter panel, collar, and inner liner with vivid Pink Swoosh. It has a midsole of White/Grey and White shoe laces. The Nike Pegasus 89 brings another cool shade for the coming Spring/Summer months.

A mix of white leather and grey suede makes up a majority of the upper, and the same scheme is used on the midsole. Black’s used on the swoosh, outsole and liner for good measure. These should make for more subtle 2010 release than Electric Green Pegasus we showed you last week.
