(Nike) RED Dunk Low

Nike RED Dunk Low

Nike’s efforts with the (Product) RED project are nothing new. The special laces designed and sold to benefit the cause have been seen on the feet of some of the company’s finest athlete representatives in many sports. It looks as though the next foray will be with a sneaker itself, as these Dunk Lows were recently spotted at a brand event.
Red leather has been placed on the tip, midfoot and Swoosh. The foxing appears to show black lines laid out in a fashion similar to the panels of a soccer ball. Black leather fills out the remainder of the upper. Naturally, the aforementioned laces cross over the tongue. Rather than a show a standard Nike label on that tongue, the Swoosh is enclosed within parentheses the way we’ve seen on other RED products.

Nike Air Zoom Tiempo White/Black-Red

Nike Air Zoom Tiempo WhiteBlackRed

This past November, Nike unleashed the Air Zoom Tiempo, its fixed gear bicycle shoe, in a slew of city-inspired colorways such as the Berlin, Paris, San Francisco and the “Mellow Johnny’s” (our favorite). Now, we have spotted the first Air Zoom Tiempo of 2010.
This particular Nike Air Zoom Tiempo features more of a subtle color scheme than the aforementioned colorways. The base is comprised of white premium oiled leather and off-white tear-resistant suede making it ideal for bike riders. It also possesses a black sole, a red inner lining and red stitching on the sole. Available now at HUF.

Kevin Durant Supports the Nike Hyperize

Kevin Durant Supports the Nike Hyperize

The majority of people who have played basketball in the Nike Hyperize have had nothing but great things to say about the lightweight sneaker (see our Nike Hyperize Performance Review). However, one of the Detroit Pistons strength and conditioning coach blamed the shoe for the team’s recent increase of ankle injuries; he then banned the shoe from Pistons members. Didn’t Kevin Durant and some of his NBA peers tell us to start Hyperizin’ and stop criticizin’?
Upon hearing the Hyperize bashing, Kevin Durant stood up in defense for Nike’s darling basketball sneaker. “Ankle injuries can come from stepping on a guy’s foot or coming down on somebody. Rarely does it happen when you’re just running around on the court,” Durant said. “And sometimes it doesn’t matter what shoe you have on, so I don’t think that’s the issue. It just happens when you’re playing.”
The Hyperize, one of the lighter basketball sneakers on the market today, is considered a great basketball sneaker and is seen on almost NBA court nightly. If you own a pair of Hyperizes, are you pleased with them as a performance sneaker? Click here to voice your opinion.

It features a mixture of turbo green and club purple in a quilt-like element on the predominance of the upper. It also owns a turbo green safari print throughout the midfoot area. Other attributes include a turbo green nylon tongue, a club purple toe cap, a white sole and a white swoosh. Available now at Wish. Click here to view additional photos.

Nike Lunar Rejuven8 Mid England

In preparation for the upcoming World Cup, Nike designed packs of gear and sneakers for numerous teams around the globe. Brazil, France and others have been represented, but it’s this Lunar Rejuven8 Mid for England that has made it to retail first.
We first saw this shoe was back when this Torch-constructed silhouette hit the web, and later learned that it was designed for Wayne Rooney and other English footballers. White mesh stretches over matching Torch, and a Lunar Nike+ sole is also used. Red nubuck is in place on the midfoot and Swoosh. These are currently available overseas, and will hopefully hit US accounts soon.
