By now, most know the history of the Spiz’ike, which draws from numerous Air Jordan sneakers that filmmaker Spike Lee helped promote as “Mars Blackman.” Since then, Spike’s character has become a pop culture icon, and the Air Jordan line grew into what we know today.
Earlier today we showed you the Air Jordan Spiz’ike “Do You Know,” the newest colorway of this model, which features the namesake phrase all over the liner. For those of you not old enough, or too forgetful, to remember the commercials that inspired these Jordan hybrids, we’ve assembled the videos that made this unique silhouette what it is. The newest member of the Nike Posite family, the Zoom Skyposite, surfaced to mixed reviews, but now that we’ve seen these 2009-2010 Amare Stoudemire PE’s, a few opinions may swing either way for good.
Featuring a shiny black upper, which fades down to purple before connecting with the solid purple Lunar midsole, these are undoubtedly a Suns’ players’ sneaks, though they’d work in Sacramento too. Amare’s “AS” appears over the black tongue, as well. While there was some doubt which details from above Skyposites would make the final version, it looks like Nike has opted to use the lower heel cut, as well as the heel pull. Also gone are the lower breathing holes.
Look forward to seeing these on Amare’s feet when Kicks On Court returns. With all the D-Wade anticipation, and LeBron VII madness already in place for this NBA season, Kicks on Court is sure to be better than ever.

The OG “Bordeaux” colorway dropped in February 1992, and was up for retro in 2002, when Jordan Brand opted to retro the “Raptors” design instead. A third “Raptors” retro was released every recently with the Air Jordan 7 DMP 60+ Pack, along with an Orlando Magic-inspired AJ7.
This eBay auction ends September 20th, and pricing already looks prohibitive, but for those sneakerheads whose pockets run as deep as their obsession, this is a rare opportunity.

Nike has created this Count Dracula-inspired Blazer for the upcoming Holiday season. The clear and unequivocal focal point of the shoe rests in the blood red splattering across the white canvas upper. Other subtle aspects of the shoe include a cream nubuck vamp, eyestay and a grey suede swoosh.
For those of you riding the whole Twilight/True Blood vampire trend, perhaps these kicks will provide the final touch to this year’s Halloween costume.

It seems like the Purple hue is all over the web today since sneakers like the Air Jordan 12 Retro is done up with an upper of Black and an outsole of Purple. Amazingly, the Jumpman logo on the tongue also comes in Purple along with the tongue border. So Purple lovers, make sure not to miss this release.

Though not so popular, the Nike Big Nike continues to extend its colorway using more vibrant hues. The “Eggplant”, originally applied on Nike Foamposite is now on the sneaker’s upper. With this bold colorway, the Swoosh is featured in a Black outline and the huge Nike logo on the heel also appears to be Black. Furthermore, the sneaker is blessed with a splattered White sole. The release of the Nike Big Nike Eggplant will be late September.

The Nike Big Nike High have been getting some great releases this year, but not quite like this one, this month the Nike will be releasing the Big Nike Eggplant Foamposite edition. These kicks get the beloved Eggplant treatment, with an all purple upper, with some black accents throughout, getting finished with a very well done grey speckled out sole below a black mid sole. These are by far, the best edition of the Big Nike for this year. Expect these sometime this month at Nike retailers like FootLocker.

This Holiday Season will be bringing us many releases we’re all looking forward to, and a few of those kicks happen to be a couple of new colorways of the Air Jordan 12, including this new black and purple edition. There’s only one problem with these though, they’re only coming out in kid’s sizes. The kicks feature an all black nubuck upper, with purple accents coming in the tongue liner and logo, as well as in the all purple out sole. Should these come out in adult sizes sometime down the road?

Following the highly anticipated release of the Foamposite “Eggplant” during the 1st quarter of the year, Nike unleashed a Hyperdunk that featured the same color scheme. Now, Nike has applied the timeless Eggplant colorway to the lesser-known Big Nike model.
This particular sneaker is more similar to the Foamposite than the Hyperdunk in that it contains a predominance of the eggplant color on most of the base. However, the feature that sets this Big Nike apart from the other two is the cookies and cream colored outsole. It also incorporates black accents in the form of the swoosh border, midsole, midfoot area, shoelaces among other areas. This Nike Big Nike will available later this month.
